The sound was what you noticed first. It wasn’t a purr or a simple rumble; it was a deep,

menacing roar that resonated with power and purpose. This was the voice of the 2025

Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392, a machine that embraces its unbridled strength. “It’s an

‘angry’ sound”, as my friend Josh put it when he picked me up, but in the best possible

way—a symphony of raw, American muscle from its 6.4-liter HEMI® V8 engine and

470 horsepower. You could feel the force of it, even at a standstill.

Our mission was a two-part adventure: to experience this powerful vehicle and to meet

Larry, the organizer of Port Orchard’s annual Cruzin’ Sunday event.

Cruzin’ Sunday, an institution on the Kitsap Peninsula, is more than just a gathering of

vehicles. It’s a full-blown community festival. We met Larry at the show, and his

enthusiasm was infectious. He told us the event is packed with people, cars, and

food—all free for attendees. “Don’t bring your bag lunch,” he said with a laugh,
“we’ve got over 2,000 hamburgers and 1500 hot dogs.”
It's a show that embraces everyone, from families with kids enjoying face painting
and inflatables to classic car enthusiasts

proudly showing off their prized possessions. The event, aptly named “Supercharged,”

lives up to its name, bringing a jolt of energy to the entire town.

Larry’s passion for the event shone through as he spoke about the incredible variety of

cars. “We’ve got anything from beat-ups to Dodges to open-wheel hot rods,” he

explained, adding that he remembered when Josh won the “Most Unique” award with
his customized 1957 Kenworth school bus. It’s a testament to the show’s inclusive spirit.

As we left the event and got back into the Rubicon, I began to appreciate its remarkable

blend of wildness and refinement. The most striking feature, beyond the engine itself, is

the Active Dual-Mode Exhaust. You can choose to let the V8 roar with full authority, a

sound that is pure music to any gearhead’s ears. But for those quiet moments—a

morning commute or a late-night drive home—a simple push of a button transforms it

into a quiet, peaceful cruiser. This vehicle doesn’t just dominate; it adapts.

Inside, the cabin is a marvel of thoughtful design. It’s a tight, condensed cockpit, but

everything you need is within arm’;s reach. The off-road seats are deeply bolstered and

surprisingly comfortable, and the dashboard is a rugged, tactile blend of style and

function. For the off-road enthusiast, the Off-Road Pages on the infotainment screen

are a godsend, providing real-time data on pitch, roll, and other critical metrics. The

Front Off-Road Camera is an especially vital feature, allowing you to see exactly

where your tires are placed when navigating a tricky obstacle, and it even has a self-

cleaning function for when things get muddy.

Jeep’s heritage as a builder of unstoppable off-road machines is evident in every detail.

The Rubicon 392 is equipped with a full FOX suspension kit, beadlock-capable rims,

and a factory-installed 8,000-pound capacity WARN winch. This is a vehicle that can

take you to places you can’t even see on a map.

My favorite feature, however, is the Sky One-Touch® Power Top. With the press of a

button, the top rolls back, turning the Rubicon into an open-air convertible. It’s an instant

dose of pure joy and freedom, whether you’re on a trail or just cruising with the sun on

your face.

This vehicle is for the adventurer, the explorer, and anyone who wants to feel the thrill of

a 470 horsepower engine. As a long-time attendee of Cruzin’ Sunday, I can say with

confidence that both the event and this Jeep are must-sees. They both embody a

passion for something greater—the joy of the open road, the thrill of the trail, and the

camaraderie of a shared love for horsepower. So head out to Cruzin’ Sunday in Port

Orchard, and for an extra thrill check out the incredible Jeep Wrangler 392 at West Hills

Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Bremerton. Come see for yourself. You won’t be

disappointed.
