Well folks, this dutiful son is on a top-secret mission today. Operation:  Par-fect Day with Mom! The target? My wonderful Mom. The weapons? A hearty brunch, a challenging round of golf, and the chariot? A gleaming 2024 GMC Terrain Denali, courtesy of the fine folks at West Hills Autoplex.

Now, you know me, I like a smooth operation, and that started with the ride. Picking up Mom was a breeze. She emerged from the house, looking as radiant as a spring bloom, and even gave the Terrain a little appreciative whistle. "Ooh, fancy!" she exclaimed, already eyeing the panoramic sunroof. "Plenty of room for the clubs, I see. Your Aunt Mildred's swing has been known to take up considerable airspace." Always with the zingers, that woman!

Sliding into the Terrain, the first thing you notice is the comfort of the refined interior. Fancy French stitched seats, heated steering wheel, and Bose premium audio system make it feel  like sitting in your favorite armchair, only this one moves… smoothly. The Northwest spring can be a fickle beast, but with that enormous sunroof open, we were bathed in glorious sunshine. Of course, just in case the heavens decided to open up, the Terrain is ready.

The drive to Trophy Lake was pure pleasure. This Terrain just glides over the road. I even impressed Mom with some of the tech – the navigation system guided us flawlessly, and the premium sound system was playing her favorite Perry Como tunes. "You know," she said, tapping her foot along to "Magic Moments," "this is much nicer than that old jalopy you used to drive. Remember that time the door fell off?" Ah yes, memories. Good times. Mostly.

Speaking of good times, let's talk about West Hills Autoplex. Now, I've bought a few cars in my day, and let me tell you, finding the right one can sometimes feel like searching for a hole-in-one… blindfolded. But West Hills? They’re like the caddy who knows exactly which club you need. Their selection is unbelievable – I’m talking thirteen different new vehicle brands! And if a pre-owned gem is more your style, they’ve got nearly 400 of those sparkling on their lot. Whatever your needs, whatever your budget, they’ve got something that’ll make you say "fore!" in a good way. Plus, the sales staff? Top-notch. They made the whole process so easy, it was almost… dare I say… enjoyable?

We arrived at Trophy Lake with appetites primed and ready. Their dining room is lovely, overlooking the lush greens. The Mother's Day brunch? Oh boy. It was a feast fit for a queen (and her slightly less regal son). Everything from fluffy pancakes to savory quiches – they really laid out the red carpet. Mom and her friend Eleanor were in their element, catching up and enjoying the delicious spread. I mostly just nodded and smiled, strategically positioning myself near the bacon platter. A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

Bellies full and spirits high, it was time for the main event: golf! Now, I’m no Arnold Palmer, and Mom… well, let’s just say her enthusiasm often outweighs her accuracy. But the beauty of Trophy Lake is that it’s a fantastic course for all skill levels. The scenery is stunning, the greens are immaculate, and even my errant shots managed to find some surprisingly scenic spots in the rough. Aunt Mildred, as predicted, had a few adventurous swings, but her laughter echoed across the fairway, which is really what it’s all about.

Seeing Mom and her friend enjoying themselves, the sun shining, the birds chirping (mostly at my golf game, I suspect), I knew Operation:  Par-fect Day with Mom was a resounding success. And a big part of that success was the smooth, comfortable, and downright stylish ride in the GMC Terrain Denali from West Hills Autoplex. It handled everything the day threw at it – comfortable cruising, ample space for all the gear (and potential celebratory gifts!), and even made this humble son look a little more sophisticated than usual.

So, if you’re in the Kitsap area and on the hunt for a new or pre-owned vehicle, do yourself a favor and head over to West Hills Autoplex. Trust me, whether you need a luxurious ride for a special occasion or a reliable workhorse, they’ve got the perfect set of wheels waiting for you. And who knows, maybe you’ll even find something that makes your Mom say "ooh, fancy!"

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful moms out there! Now, if you'll excuse me, I think my golf ball just rolled into another dimension.
