“Right, so here's the thing. It's April, which apparently means we're all supposed to embrace our inner eco-warrior and wax poetic about saving the planet. Now, don't get me wrong – I'm all for not turning our lovely little corner of the cosmos into a giant rubbish heap. I mean, who wants to live on a literal garbage fire of a world, right?

But if I'm being honest, the whole process of going green has always seemed a bit… well, dull. Like eating a bowl of unseasoned tofu or driving a car with the personality…

Alright, you magnificent minions of the Puget Sound! Prepare for a whirlwind tour of Bremerton, a town I’ve just conquered in the most gloriously over-engineered, electric behemoth known to man – the 2025 GMC Hummer EV, courtesy of the fine folks at West Hills Autoplex.

Now, let's address the elephant in the electric room. This Hummer EV, eh? It's like driving a small, luxurious apartment that happens to be capable of scaling small mountains. West Hills Autoplex, bless their souls, made the whole process smoother than a freshly Zamboni'd ice rink.

​“Dad, I don’t know why we even have to work on a brand-new truck?”  The wind howled like a disgruntled moose outside, rattling the windows of the garage. Inside, a symphony of clanging wrenches and muttered curses filled the air. I was elbow-deep in the engine compartment of my shiny 2024 Ford Maverick, which I’d purchased from West Hills Ford earlier in the year. 

A cackle erupted from my throat, echoing through the cavernous showroom floor. “My minions,” I boomed, my voice dripping with theatrical delight, “Halloween approaches! A time for ghouls and goblins, for costumes and candy… and for a little team bonding!”

The sun glints off the smooth curves of my 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 3LT, courtesy of Haselwood Chevrolet Buick GMC right here in Bremerton. The anticipation crackles in the air, mirroring the potential stored in the engine, eager to get out. Our destination is the Cruz Car Show in Port Orchard, an Iconic Bremerton event and this won’t be just any drive – it'll be an automotive odyssey.
